The Ultimate Charleston Travel Guide

Hey Guys! I finally crossed visiting Charleston off my list of places to travel to, what I love about living in Raleigh is its close proximity to the cutest travel destinations. Next on my list to visit is Savannah, but thats neither here nor there. My best friend and I planned a trip to Charleston for her birthday and I am so glad we did, I am here to break down The Ultimate Charleston Travel Guide.

Top Food Spots

Cannon Green

Easily the best brunch place I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a TON. This place had the yummiest banana bread I’ve ever had and the restaurant itself was gorgeous inside and out. It’s definitely a must, I’d plan to make a reservation.

The Ordinary

This place was very cute, my only dislike was we had to sit at the bar to eat because the place was booked solid. One thing I did not like about Charleston was the NYC vibe of high prices and virtually no walk ins. However they had a great selection of raw seafood and the most delicious Hawaiian sweet buns, I will seriously dream about those.

Poogan’s Porch

A southern comfort lovers dream, this place is as authentic southern as it gets. They give you the fluffiest biscuits to start, that had me sold right there. Also, my girl Giada had signed a menu on their wall so I knew it would be good. This is definitely a place you want to savor and not expect healthy menu options, when in Rome right?

Kaminsky’s

If you’re looking to lay low and not go out on the town then this Desert Cafe is a must. They have a wide selection of cakes and pies but honestly their drinks were what I would go there for again. They had spiked and non spiked coffees and hot chocolates, it was life changing especially since they had almond milk.

Magnolia Plantation and Gardens

I am a big nature lover so I really wanted to visit a Plantation while I was in Charleston, and it did not disappoint. The grounds were breath taking and beautiful, a real life Nicholas Sparks novel. I highly suggest going here or to another plantation to see some of the history.
