Hey Guys! I wanted to talk today about something I feel is extremely important for living a happy and fulfilling life.

It is no secret that I grew up with my Mom constantly emphasizing how negativity was not allowed in our household. I think this is one of the reasons why I have a low tolerance for it, to be honest, it’s my biggest pet peeve.

For those of you who struggle with seeing the best in every situation, I thought I would share the power of a positive mindset.

  1. Increased mood

Always looking at things through a glass half empty perspective can leave you feeling unappreciative, defensive and hopeless. This is why it is  SO important to see things from an optimistic point of view, the energy you put into the universe will return to you. Try to shift your perspective and see change as an opportunity or a bad break as a lesson.

A positive mindset will reduce your stress, you’ll be less worried about the sweating the small stuff and more in tune with appreciating life in the moment. When we focus on everything that could go wrong our health suffers. Stress can lower your immune system and cause hormone imbalance. It is all about how you perceive the situation; don’t let a little mishap ruin your day.

This may be the most important; I think as women we struggle to see ourselves in a positive light because society puts pressure on us to be perfect. Keeping a positive mindset allows you to hold a higher standard for yourself and have affirmations at the forefront of your mind.

When you look in the mirror do you see a body that is strong, capable and beautiful as it is in this moment, not 10lbs less from now?

Remember to talk to yourself with respect as you would expect someone to speak to you.
