I am so excited to share my first travel diary with y’all! It’s no secret I love to travel in 2016 alone I visited: Denver CO, Orlando FL, New York, Kingsport TN, Los Angeles CA, Washington DC, Chicago IL and various spots in NC. In the this travel series I plan to cover the best spots to eat and explore should you ever get to travel to these spots!
First up: Nashville, Tennessee or “Music City”
Not gonna lie, for being there CMA weekend I was pretty bummed I ran into zero country music stars but I did get my country music fill.
First must go to spot: Broadway Street.
Picture Times Square NYC crowded vibes (although I was there for the Stanley cup too) and live country music playing inside every open bar.
Favorite Bars: Honky Tonk Central and FGL House
Honky Tonk Central is three floors with different bands singing live country music on each floor and balconies that overlook broadway street. Disclaimer: I have been listening to country for quite some time and didn’t know most songs….just me? #newyorkproblems
FGL House is amazing, period. It’s beautifully decorated if anything go there just to check out the artwork and the delicious drinks. Seriously I plan on making a mock “sippin’ on fire” one (tequila drink, duh).
Recommended Bars: Tootsies and Wannabes Karaoke Bar (definitely going to these next visit and embarrassing myself by singing Miranda Lambert).
Favorite Rooftop Spots: Acme Feed & Seed Restaurant and Rock Bottom Restaurant
Acme Feed & Seed had so much history most of which I had no clue about and google came in handy for. For instance, Acuff Rose what I saw: cool Instagram worthy wall, what it is: Nashville music label.
Rock Bottom Restaurant is a chill spot to go for dinner or drinks, it’s worth the view.
Must go to Brunch spots: Biscuit Love & Barista Parlor
Both beautifully decorated and delicious breakfast cafes, a must visit.
Tourist Spots: The Gulch Area. If I ever lived in Nashville this would be the spot hands down. It has fitness studios, juice bars, cute restaurants, and boutiques… what more could you need.
The Gulch is also home to the famous wings wall. #NashvilleGulch #WhatLiftsYou
Recommended Tourist things:
-Musician Hall of Fame Museum
-Nashville Off the Wagon Tour (picture hayride bar driven by a tractor…I mean common) but beware of the plastics…I mean bachelorette’s. Seriously, every “bride to be” comes to Smashville.
-Nashville Pedal Tavern…pedal a trolley bar while drinking.
That’s a wrap on Nashville! If ya’ll want me to recap previous trips comment below!
